Annual Spring Recital—June 6, 2010 at 2:00pm
Denton's, 349 W. Commercial St., East Rochester
The annual spring recital is a wonderful time for students and audience. Students play the best of their memorized repertoire. If you are not yet a student of the studio, but considering it, this is a great opportunity to see what the students have accomplished at various levels.
The studio is smaller this year so in lieu of our traditional cake and punch, I will supplypunch and ask student families to provide a plate of favorite cookies. There will be a short awards ceremony between the recital and the reception.
National Piano Guild Auditions
Early Spring 2011
Registrations and fees need to be in by late October or early November next year.
Gold and Silver Cup Festival—late January 30/early February, 2011
Pittsford Community Church, Marsh Rd, Pittsford
This is the National Federation of Student Musicians annual festival. This event focuses on American composers.
Musicians play two memorized pieces—one from a required repertoire, and one of their own choosing. Musicians may choose to play privately for the judges, or in a recital format. Most choose recital format so parents and friends can attend.
Students can earn up to five points per year for their perfomances. When 15 points are earned, they get their first Gold Cup.
In 2010 all 5 of our students who performed received their 5 points necessary for attaining their trophies on schedule! Congratulations!
